Queste foto sopra illustrate sono di un giradischi proveniente dalla Russia degli ultimi anni dell’Ottocento. Si può notare che è ancora presente la puntina che scorrendo tra i solchi a “V” dei dischi crea le onde sonore producendo la melodia mentre il disco scorre essendo poggiato sul piatto rotante.
These photos illustrated above are of a turntable from Russia in the late nineteenth century. It can be seen that the needle is still present which, sliding between the “V” grooves of the discs, creates the sound waves producing the melody while the disc runs while resting on the turntable.
Quest’ultima foto è invece uno dei dischi in vinile come quello presente nelle prime due foto poggiato sul piatto. Questo veniva utilizzato sempre in quegli anni: veniva appoggiato il braccio sui suoi solchi e in questo modo veniva riprodotta l’intera canzone russa.
This last photo is instead one of the vinyl records like the one present in the first two photos resting on the plate. This was always used in those years: the arm was placed on its grooves and in this way the entire Russian song was reproduced.
